Evening were always something of a bore for Alexis. She didn't have many friends at the college so far mostly because they all knew each other from somewhere or their social circles and because she came from Scotland most of her inner circle were gone and she was alone. She had people whom she could talk to but none that were all that close. Alexis liked it that way but it was sometimes crap to say the least. It meant no-one knew your secrets or anything that had happened in your past but it did mean that you spent alot of time alone and keeping to yourself alot. Keeping to yourself meant that your secrets or your feelings got bottled up and if you were Alexis this meant they came out when people got on her nerves and she exploded at them. All her rage focusing on them. It wasn't there fault but it was always safer not to irk her in anyway, unless you knew she was in a good mood.
Today she had been in a good mood mostly because she had suffered through her classes and recieved no assignments. It was a plus on a major scale. The evening had came and her mood had changed only slightly, she was less happy and more restless. She had left her dorm room and wondered down to the lake. It wasn't somewhere she came often but it was better than doing nothing. There wasn't anyone about for a change and she was a bit disapointed by that fact. Sitting down near the bank she sighed out loud and stared blankly towards the slow flowing waters.

Cai held a smile on his face as he walked down the corridor, his hands in his pocket. After an eventful few minutes with Dorian after classes, he had found himself with almost a permanent smile on his lips. He just couldn’t help it. The young man was just so…good. Wondering outside, he glanced up at the sky, seeing the clouds floating through the blue sky that was beginning to darken. He walked across the slightly damp grass and headed down towards the lake. He liked water. He always had since he was a child, often playing in rivers or Cardiff Bay with his sister, Nikki. More often than not he had been in some sort of water since he was little right up to now. Of course, it was probably a little too cold to jump in right now.
Walking down towards the lake, he saw a girl sat nearby, her back to him. He stopped and watched her for a few seconds, looking at every inch of her and liking what he saw. He grinned, before dropping the smile and walking over to her. He sat down next to her, looking out across the lake. “See anything you like?” he asked, his Welsh accent coming across strong.

The sky above her was beginning to darken and Alexis knew this only ment one thing rain! No matter where you lived in the United Kingdom you always got rain, and mostly rain. Dry days and sunshine wer brief unless you lived somewhere south of the border and near the coast. Alexis was a conisuer of rain, she had after all spent most of her life living in Edinburgh, Scotlands capital city and a place where rain stung you as it fell in sheets from the skies. Judging by the hue of grey it was going to be a down pour and one that would last a while. Hey let it rain, she thought to herself. If she had to trudge back to her dorm room soaked to the bone oh well. Changing clothes and getting dry again was no skin off her nose.
It was an odd thing although she loved rain and having a good long hot shower, Alexis hated swimming. Yeah she could swim but she had never really got the point of swimming back and forth in a boring pool where no doubt some weirdo had peed in it. Having your own pool would sort that out but Aexis' family didn't have one and she didn't go out her way to ask for one or to go swimming. Sitting on the bank alone was getting boring and she was thinking about leaving when she heard someone approaching, being to lazy and not wanting to look keen about someone else being about she didn't turn around. Instead she waited until she heard someone speak. Turning around she looked up and replied "Maybe" with a smile.

Cai saw the rain clouds starting to form and held back from groaning. Here he was, a long way away from Cardiff and the rain was going to fall. Maybe it was his parents’ way of telling him that they were still there in Cardiff. He wasn’t sure. What he was sure about is that he certainly wasn’t dressed for rain. In fact, he was never dressed for rain, even if he knew it was raining. Cai decided that there was no point in trying to make himself stay dry, but to just suffer the rain. It’s not as if he hadn’t done this nearly every day of his life so far. One more day couldn’t hurt.
Cai smiled back at the girl, his eyes glancing over her features. She was pretty. This was very good. It was Jack’s genes that made him want to judge every single person for sex appeal. Still, it hadn’t failed him yet. She sure was pretty. He looked up at the sky again briefly, before glancing across the lake. He chewed his lip briefly, before looking back at her. “Cai. Cai Harkness-Jones. What is your name, then? I hope a pretty girl like yourself will let me have that.”

Alexis smiled to herself company was welcome and good looking company even more. She had after wondered outside looking for someone to talk to or at least keep her occupied for a moment or two. Alexis did not like being alone one bit, she needed attention although there were sometimes when she liked to be alone. This was normally when she was in a bad mood or if she needed to study. Although when studying she often found her mind wondered and it was hard to concentate on whatever she was doing at that moment.
Alexis looked the boy over before she replied. Weighing up if he was worth talking to. Deciding that he was and even if he wasn't she still would have talked to him to stop her from exploding from boredom she replied. "Alexis Kemperton" he said simpley deciding not to repy to the good looking girl comment. She had heard it all before and that kind of charm just didn't work on her away more. It was to do with being around to many boys like that at school. She had gotten fed up of their sweet talk preferring those boys who were slightly cruel with their intentions, in fact pretty much boys who were like male versions of her.
